Is Yaya Toure 31 and Wearing for ManCity?

Ever since his arrival in Manchester from Barcelona, Yaya Toure has been the driving force behind City's success. The Ivory Coast midfielder was pivotal in City winning two Premier League titles and alongside Joe Hart, Vincent Kompany and Sergio Aguero, has formed the basis of the Sky Blues success. However, ever since Toure turned 31 (and got all upset because City didn't book a magician and a balloon artist to celebrate his birthday), he hasn't looked the same player. It might be the years that have been unkind to Yaya, but more likely it is the demands placed on him by an ever-aging City side. According to Sky's Waldorf & Statler - Jamie Carragher and Gary Neville - in the defeat to Liverpool on Sunday, City were tactically naïve and Toure looked physically weary. Whether it is the years or the mileage, it is difficult to say… but Toure and City will need to adapt or risk going the way of their not-so-noisy neighbours.
